Ø     Combined Heat and Power (CHP)

Large quantities of heat are always created in the generation of power. Most power plants in the UK do not use this heat productively. Our energy centre is a combined heat and power (CHP) plant. Steam and hot water are useful outputs that we supply to many local businesses via our pipe networks. There are great environmental benefits by using fuel more efficiently via CHP.

Ø       Electric vehicles

Three Citroen Berlingo electric vans are used to travel round the estate by our service engineers. The vans are powered by batteries and have the capacity to travel for 45 miles on one 8 hour charge. The vans are silent-running and makes no emissions, thus making a contribution to the local environment.
